The SteelSeries Rival 3 is a great computer mouse for FPS games. The mouse is fairly lightweight, and all of its switches can be set, consisting of the L/R clicks and up/down scrolls. The sensor efficiency is outstanding and has among the most affordable CPI errors we’ve ever measured, and the click latency is reduced. However, the side switches can be difficult to press, and the fairly recessed computer mouse wheel may not be for everybody. While little hands might have a bumpy ride with fingertip grip, all hand dimensions need to have no claw hold problems.

The matte coating behaves and really feels great in hand. We did observe some fingerprint smearing quite beforehand, though. It was rather light; however, we could see this coming to be a problem with time as the gadget sees even more usage. Somewhere else, SteelSeries has actually made some wonderful ergonomic design choices, with wonderful concave sides that assist your thumb to its most comfortable relaxing location.
The Rival 3 is packing SteelSeries’ TrueMove Core optical sensing unit. It’s a scaled-back version of its best TrueMove3 sensor discovered in the luxury of the Rival collection. The sensor is just one of the manner ins which SteelSeries maintained the rate so practical. It includes a lower optimum DPI of 8500, a far cry less than the 20,000 located in flagship computer mice like the Razer Basilisk Ultimate (though is still rather high). It also includes a reduced maximum speed of 300 inches per 2nd and 35G acceleration versus the 350+ and 50G provided by the TrueMove3.
